Review:
Improvements over the previous model include:
Better tracks, new steering controls, new electric shoot control, LED headlight, muffler guards, bigger gas cap and multi-position height adjustment (the most important improvement).
The reversible skids are a nice idea, but they are much thinner and smaller than the previous model skids, so be sure to get the commercial grade skid shoe option.
There is no good reason to get the model with the battery start - it only adds weight and maintenance. The pull start is simpler and it starts on the first pull.
I use this at 7000' and can tell by the smell that it needs to be re-jetted to run more efficiently. (Stock jet is 102, probably needs the 100 option or maybe the 95 option).
The shear bolts are similar to the previous model, but now it takes two wrenches to install them due to a manufacturing flaw. On the previous model the bolt was kept from spinning by the shape of the flange it went through. But on this model, they made
that shape just a little too big.
The bolt on the impeller is much improved and easier to change, though it is obviously much softer than the old design. (Be sure to order some extra of these - the shear bolts that are carriage style).
Overall this machine is much improved over the previous model, as far as features. I think the power is about the same, but it does seem to go faster in reverse.
