Features for the Honda HSS928ATD

Tired of fumbling with cold hands to pull on a recoil start handle? The HSS928ATD has an on board battery which means no more pull starts and no more extension cords! The on board battery charges as the engine runs. This means that if you ever have to stop your snow blower, it’s not a problem to get going again without any extra work, just one simple step!

Plus, the HSS928ATD has a hydrostatic transmission. This kind of transmission lets you have 100% variable speed control, as opposed to other snow blowers that have a set number of fixed speeds. This kind of transmission also keeps maintenance to a minimum, which means that when it comes time to get to work, you can just grab your snow blower and go!

I love the product. Arrived well packaged, no damage and started right up. The only issue I experienced was not with the product itself but customer service. Everyone was courteous but I could not get a straight answer on a shipping date for weeks and I received a different answer from each representative with a different reason for why the item had not shipped. I understand the delay issues we are all experiencing but I didn't appreciate the excuses. It is just easier to be honest. Once I called considering cancelling the order, I received within minutes tracking information. For days after, the tracking number showed that the number was 'not found' and I could not get through to Jack's on the phone at all. I had to call the shipping company directly and it turns out I received an incorrect tracking number. When you spend this much money, accurate information and honesty should be provided.

Ordered HSS928ATD and received in excellent condition. Delivery was good. This is a replacement for the exact same model but 8 years older. Love this blower and the purchase experience from Mowers at Jacks was excellent. A few other items were out of stock and still pending but this seems to be the new norm for 2020.

I used the blower three times already. it is a BEAST! It throws even the heavy snow clear the driveway. hard packed snow left by the snow plow is not a problem at all. easy start. It takes a bit to get used to the controls, but controls are also very intuitive. Highly recommend it.

Although I just recently purchased this snow blower and have not had the occasion to use it yet I can comment on the overall purchase so far. When I purchased it due to its cost it was much more practical to have it shipped to my house and pay for the lift gate service than to drive down and pick it up and have to pay Md. sales tax. I live in Pa. only about 35 miles from Jack's. This machine comes fully assembled and is in quite a large box. Huge really. The truck driver thought it was a blower for the front of a farm tractor or skid steer. Plus it ways over 300 pounds. Unless you have a fork lift or such spring for the lift gate service. It arrived right on time as promised by UPS after they called me and the driver was very courteous. Using his pallet truck he unloaded it and put it exactly where I needed it to be. The next morning using the instructions on the outside of the box I cut the box off of the skid and to my surprise there wasn't anything to do except cut the straps loose on the skid to free the machine and just roll it off using their instructions. All I had to do was add the supplied oil and some gas. Even though it is electric start I used the rope to start it. It started on the second pull. Typical Honda, the fit and finish is awesome. Advertised as made in America except for the engine. All the bolts and such are tight and everything is aligned with no need for adjustments. As far as Jacks online sales, they are spot on. I have bought other parts for my other equipment from them several times for about five or six years now and I've never had a problem with an order. The let you know the status of your order and even if something is backordered or unavailable they let you know so there isn't any surprises later. Needless to say they have earned my business. When we get snow I will update this review if possible.

Do I need to be home on Delivery date? Can I request a day for delivery?

Answer:

Jason, if you are ordering equipment the freight company will call and ask you the schedule a day. However, if you are ordering parts, you do not need a signature and will be left at the door if by UPS.
