Purchasing the unit with Jacks was great, good pricing easy transactions. The unit did have a issue with the pivot point bushing being loose in it's fit (causing when the brush is turned one way or the other not to lock it place), I contacted ariens and
they didn't offer much help, saying the bushing was on the small end of their tolerances, and to grease the pin that goes to it, the bushing was 0,497 and their tolerances are 0.503 to 0.4985,(these are tolerances ariens gave). I didn't want to have to teach
the tech support that 0.497 is out of their tolerance by 0.0015, so I put loc-tite on the bushing to hold in place, and said yes to the new bushing offer. The rest of the unit seems to be well made, but I can't beleave that I'm the first to have this problem.
But they are passing the loc-tite idea along to the factory.
